Brooks Pierce Managing Partner Recognized as 2017 North Carolina Leader in the Law

Brooks Pierce managing partner Reid Phillips has been recognized by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly as one of its 2017 North Carolina Leaders in the Law.

The award recognizes influential North Carolina lawyers who are setting an example amongst their peers. The 2017 North Carolina Leaders in the Law were selected by a panel of legal professionals who analyzed personal and professional accomplishments as well as community involvement. All honorees will be formally recognized at an event in Charlotte this September.

Phillips is a trial and appellate attorney who represents business owners and large companies in complex business disputes. He is the chair of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and served as the chair of the LeBauer Park steering committee. He has also served as the chair of the War Memorial Commission and the Greensboro Metropolitan YMCA and served on the boards of directors for the Weatherspoon Art Museum Association, the Greensboro Bar Association and the Green Hill Center for North Carolina Art. Since 1999, he has been recognized annually by The Best Lawyers in America for his work in commercial litigation, banking & finance litigation, and intellectual property litigation, and he has also received regular recognition from North Carolina Super Lawyers, Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business and Benchmark Litigation.
