Brooks Pierce Partner Kearns Davis Named to Greensboro Police Foundation Board of Directors

Kearns Davis, a partner in the Greensboro office of Brooks Pierce, was recently named to the Greensboro Police Foundation board of directors.

Founded in 2011, the Greensboro Police Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing Greensboro’s economic strength by promoting safety for the city’s residents, workers and visitors through support of the Greensboro Police Department. The Greensboro Police Foundation provides the police department with funding for leadership development, equipment and technology, officer safety, wellness and morale initiatives, crime prevention and community partnerships and advocacy.

Davis leads Brooks Pierce’s practice in the areas of white-collar criminal defense, felony trials and appeals, grand jury proceedings and government investigations, and also handles a broad range of federal and business litigation. Since 2010, Kearns has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© for Criminal Defense: White Collar, Bet-the-Company Litigation and Commercial Litigation. A former federal prosecutor, Davis served as the United States’ lead counsel in felony trials for a broad spectrum of crimes including fraud, conspiracy, drug trafficking and firearms offenses.
