Dan Smith to Speak at Greensboro Commission on the Status of Women Event

Brooks Pierce attorney Dan Smith will speak at “Breaking Chains: Women, Employment and Reentry” on May 20. The event, presented by the Greensboro Commission on the Status of Women, will focus on the challenges women who have been incarcerated face when looking for a job.

Smith’s presentation will focus on the expunction process. Other speakers include Greensboro City Councilwoman Marikay Abuzuaiter and Charmaine Davis, a regional administrator with the U.S. Department of Labor.

Smith practices environmental, commercial, education, and state constitutional law. He also works regularly with Legal Aid and has counseled clients throughout the state, obtaining numerous expunctions on behalf of Legal Aid clients and others in Guilford, Durham, Gaston, and Wayne counties.
