Nicole Crawford, a partner in the Greensboro office of Brooks Pierce, will speak at a luncheon co-hosted by Oracle Cloud on Tuesday, Nov. 8. The discussion is titled “The Impact of Mergers & Acquisitions on HR” and Crawford will share lessons learned from her experiences advising on and managing HR issues for companies acquiring and being acquired.
Highlights of the talk include HR’s role in pre- and post-announcement communications and responding to employee inquiries; facilitating culture integration; and critical HR teamwork and planning issues in any associated staffing changes or reductions in force, including severance packages and other documentation.
Recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in employment and labor by North Carolina Super Lawyers® since 2010, Crawford has extensive experience in labor and employment counseling and litigation. She frequently advises employers on employee discipline and discharge matters, reductions in force, discrimination claims, merger and acquisitions, internal investigations, whistleblower claims, and leave and disability issues.
“The Impact of Mergers & Acquisitions on HR” luncheon will be held at Brooks Pierce Law Firm in Greensboro from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Attendees at the luncheon will also have the opportunity to network with other HR leaders in the Greensboro/Raleigh area.
