Ryan Fairchild Named to Leadership of NCBA Sports and Entertainment Section

Brooks Pierce attorney Ryan Fairchild has been named the ethics committee co-chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Sports and Entertainment Law Section.

The NCBA’s Sports and Entertainment Law Section includes lawyers who represent sports and entertainment clients, lawyers who serve as counsel to organizations engaged in the multi-billion dollar sports and entertainment industry and lawyers who wish to broaden their practices to include the sports and entertainment area.

Fairchild’s diverse practice includes an emphasis on the esports industry. His passion for esports derives from being a lifelong gamer. He understands the various esports cultures and dynamics, as well as legal, economic and structural issues facing the industry. He represents players, organizations and stakeholders in a variety of contract, intellectual property, employment and corporate issues. Fairchild has authored numerous articles on the esports climate and is a frequent speaker at industry events on the legal issues affecting the esports community.
