Patricia Goodson, a partner in the Raleigh office, was recently interviewed by the Triangle Business Journal about what advice employment attorneys are giving their clients following the Nov. 22 injunction of new rules governing overtime pay. The rules were scheduled to take affect on Dec. 1.
Many companies have already made changes to employees’ schedules and workloads to accommodate the changes, which were expected to make millions of additional workers eligible for overtime pay. Goodson noted that for many employers who have already made changes, considering employee morale will be a factor when determining how to move forward.
