Grimm Nominated to Tax Section Council
Brooks Pierce partner Allison Grimm has been nominated to a three-year term, beginning in July 2008, on the North Carolina Bar Association's Tax Section Council.
The Tax Law Section offers a wide variety of programs on federal and local tax issues and engages in tax policy projects. The Section has an opportunity to meet annually with IRS agents, and the Council meets annually with Department of Revenue representatives.
Allison's employee benefits practice includes pension and welfare benefits. She speaks regularly on the topics of wellness programs and new Section 409A of the Internal Revenue Code governing deferred compensations arrangements.
