Bill Cary Speaks to Preventing Workplace Harassment at WithIt Annual Conference
Brooks Pierce partner Bill Cary spoke on professionalism and preventing workplace harassment at the 2018 WithIt annual Professional Conference in Charleston, South Carolina, on June 26. Cary was joined by Natalie Sanders, founder of Professional Business Cultures.
Their presentation, titled “Professionalism: A More Effective Way to Prevent Harassment and Promote a Positive Workplace Culture,” discussed the inadequacies of traditional anti-harassment training and how raising the level of professionalism in the workplace can be a positive, proactive method for ending employee misconduct. The session highlighted ways that disciplined, industrious business cultures can increase employee morale, support healthy conflict resolution and decrease instances of harassment.
