Brooks Pierce Attorneys to Present Election Law CLE for Association of Corporate Counsel
Brooks Pierce attorneys Craig Schauer and Eric Fletcher will present a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) webinar on election law for the Association of Corporate Counsel on June 24 at 12 p.m.
The presentation, “Entering the Political Fray: Corporate Participation in the 2020 Election,” will outline the various ways that corporations can and cannot participate in the political process. The program will provide an overview of campaign-finance and election law issues relevant to corporations, including political action committees, independent expenditures, issue advertising, endorsements and events, and employee conduct.
Schauer represents clients in resolving issues with contractual disputes, government regulations, business torts, and unfair competition. He also works with businesses on questions concerning permissible political activity, election laws, and First Amendment rights.
Fletcher advises clients on a variety of litigation and compliance issues related to political activity, campaigns, and elections. He also has significant experience in constitutional, intellectual property, and appellate litigation.
