Brooks Pierce Hosts Women’s White Collar Association Continuing Legal Education Event on Ethical Dilemmas

Brooks Pierce hosted and sponsored a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) event for the North Carolina chapter of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA) on Nov. 13. The event, held in the Brooks Pierce Raleigh office, was co-sponsored by Partners Group and Haystack.

The CLE event provided members with the opportunity to navigate three different ethical problems in the style of an escape room challenge. Attendees had the opportunity to solve dilemmas related to topics of cybersecurity, interacting with the FBI and internal investigations. Brooks Pierce attorney Shana Fulton served as a moderator, leading individuals through a discussion of internal investigations. The event also featured a concluding assessment of the various scenarios, along with a networking reception.

The Women’s White Collar Criminal Defense Association seeks to promote the common business and professional interests of women attorneys who specifically represent corporations and individuals facing government enforced actions, compliance issues and internal investigations. WWCDA strives to promote diversity in the legal profession, while facilitating networking and business development opportunities.
