Brooks Pierce Partner Discusses NC Open Meetings Act at Occupational Licensing Agencies Best practices Seminar

Brooks Pierce partner Clint Pinyan recently spoke at the Occupational Licensing Agencies Best Practices Seminar at the North Carolina State Bar in Raleigh. The event brought together more than 100 executive directors, general counsel and board members from most of North Carolina’s occupational licensing boards.

Pinyan, who serves as general counsel for the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy, led a discussion on the North Carolina Open Meetings Act, which governs meetings of public bodies, including the state’s occupational licensing boards.

A partner in the Greensboro office of Brooks Pierce, Pinyan has an extensive and varied practice focused on government regulation of businesses and professionals. His perspective on regulatory and administrative law has been shaped by regular representation of both government regulators and regulated businesses and professionals. In addition to serving as general counsel to the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy, he has represented several other state and local government agencies, counties and municipalities.
