Brooks Pierce Partner Charles Marshall has been selected to speak at the Agio Cyber Security Incident Response Luncheon on Wednesday, October 1, at Grandover Resort and Conference Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Marshall, alongside FBI Special Agent Devon Ackerman and Agio CEO Bart McDonough, will lead an in-depth discussion on cyber security for top business leaders in the Triad and the surrounding area. Marshall will share his experience on the legal implications of a cyber security incident, how to deal with an incident once it occurs and the process of putting together an effective response team.

A partner in the Raleigh office of Brooks Pierce, Marshall helps businesses, digital media companies and trade associations avoid and solve complex legal problems. Marshall, who has worked with North Carolina’s identity theft protection law from its inception, works with clients to develop best practices with respect to consumer privacy, data protection and data breach response. As a litigator, he appears regularly in federal and state trial and administrative courts. Previously, Marshall worked as a U.S. Department of Justice attorney, a Capitol Hill policy advisor and a law clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
