Charles Baldwin, a partner in the Wilmington office of Brooks Pierce, recently participated in a panel discussion at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington's 2016 Community Engagement Conference.
Baldwin's discussion focused on UNCW's role in regional economic development, particularly education and advocacy regarding the favorable local impacts of international trade and the importance of developing international business and cultural ties. The panel also consisted of UNCW Cameron School of Business Professors Curt Stiles and Carlos Rodriguez.
UNCW's day-long summit, titled "Giving Flight to Engagement: Creating Positive Community-University Partnerships," was held on October 14.
