Ed Winslow to Present at Upcoming Geneva Group International Conference in Quebec City
Brooks Pierce partner Ed Winslow will speak at the 2018 Geneva Group International (GGI) Best Practices Conference, being held Sept. 20-22 in Quebec City. GGI is a worldwide alliance of well-established and experienced accounting, consulting and law firms that are committed to providing clients with specialized solutions for their international business needs.
The presentation, entitled “The Aging of Professionals and What can be Done to Stop It,” will discuss progressive management practices of professional service firms, addressing the increasing retirement of the baby boomer generation, along with succession planning, creative roles for senior professionals and alternatives to full retirement.
Winslow, former managing partner of Brooks Pierce, has practiced law for over 40 years, with a focus on litigation, corporate law and banking and financial services. He is the current chairman of the board of trustees for the North Carolina State Bar Plan for Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts. He is also the chairman of the board of trustees for Guilford College and a past member of the board of governors of the North Carolina Bar Association. He served as general counsel for the North Carolina Bankers Association for several decades.
