Brooks Pierce partner Kearns Davis presented on “Lawyers & the Rule of Law” at an event sponsored by the Greensboro Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. The presentation was held January 16 at Elon University’s School of Law. Davis presented with Dr. Gerald Postema, professor of philosophy and law at the University of North Carolina.
Davis’s portion of the presentation focused on his work with the Port-au-Prince Bar Association in Haiti. Davis served as president of the North Carolina Bar Association from 2016-17 and during that period forged a continuing relationship with Haitian legal leaders that has featured nine visits and exchanges between lawyers in Port-au-Prince and North Carolina.
Davis leads Brooks Pierce’s white-collar defense and investigations practice and handles a broad range of federal and business litigation.
