Stephen Hartzell, a partner in the Raleigh office of Brooks Pierce, will be a key presenter at the Campbell Law Review's annual Symposium being held February 3, 2017, at the Campbell University School of Law in Raleigh. This year's Symposium, titled "Flying Above the Law: Legal Issues Surrounding the Domestic Use of Drones," will cover a variety of UAS topics.
Hartzell will participate in a panel discussion relating to preemption, including the Federal Aviation Administration’s rules governing the use of drones and an appropriate allocation of regulatory authority between and among federal, state and local governments. He will also moderate a panel discussion relating to security and data management as well as the privacy implications of drone operations.
