Brooks Pierce partner Ed Turlington spoke at a joint meeting of the Boards of Directors of the NC Technology Association and the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) on September 16 in Raleigh. The meeting was part of CED’s Tech Venture Conference 2014, which was attended by 700 information technology leaders and entrepreneurs from throughout the Southeast.
Turlington’s presentation was entitled “Important Things to Know about the 2014 General Assembly Session.” It detailed bills of interest to the two Boards on topics including education, economic development, health care and taxes.
Turlington, who has served for more than 10 years as State Government Counsel to the NC Technology Association, advises a number of technology clients on legal and procurement issues. He also represents businesses in the fields of media, telecommunications, health care, transportation and finance.
