Brooks Pierce Attorney Presents at NC Association of School Administrators School Law and Policy Symposium
Brooks Pierce attorney Collins Saint will present at the North Carolina Association of School Administrators School Law and Policy Symposium on Sept. 21 at 12:30 p.m.
The presentation, “Handling Transgender Student Issues,” will discuss coding in PowerSchool, restroom and locker room access, and more.
A former educator, Saint represents school boards, private schools and public and private colleges and universities in litigation in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He has experience handling a wide range of education law issues, including those involving compliance with federal statutes and regulations like the IDEA, Title IX, Title VII, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the ADA. Saint has a particular focus on broadening awareness of diversity issues within organizations. He has experience handling disputes on behalf of trans* persons involving discrimination and obtaining legal name and gender marker changes.
