Brooks Pierce partner Kearns Davis recently presented his 14th annual Federal Criminal Case Law update at the North Carolina Bar Association’s 2019 Annual Review. The event occurred Oct. 17-18 in Cary, North Carolina.
Davis provided insight on key recent decisions from the United States Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He also delivered an update at the Federal Bar Association’s Middle District of North Carolina Chapter meeting on Nov. 12.
Davis leads the firm's white-collar defense and investigations practice and handles a broad range of federal and business litigation. A former federal prosecutor, he has tried jury cases at all levels of federal and North Carolina trial courts, and he represents clients in United States trial and appellate courts around the country. Davis served as President of the NCBA from 2016-17 and as President of the FBA’s Middle District of North Carolina Chapter from 2010-11.
