Shana Fulton Presents at North Carolina Association of Independent Schools Conference
Brooks Pierce partner Shana Fulton presented at the Heads, Trustees and CFOs Virtual Conference for the North Carolina Association of Independent Schools (NCAIS). The three-day conference discussed the challenges and opportunities facing independent schools in North Carolina and across the country.
Fulton’s presentation, “Demystifying an Internal Investigation: When to Start One and What to Expect,” explains the process of conducting an internal investigation in an educational setting and what issues may arise during a potential time of crisis.
Fulton represents businesses and individuals in criminal and civil litigation, under government investigation or conducting internal investigations. As a defense attorney and former Assistant U.S. Attorney, she has experience litigating and investigating high-profile and complex matters at all levels of federal and state trial courts. Fulton is currently a member of the North Carolina Bar Association Minorities in the Profession Committee and the Women’s White Collar Defense Association.
