Benchmark Litigation Names Brooks Pierce the 2017 "North Carolina Law Firm of the Year"
Brooks Pierce has been named the 2017 “North Carolina Law Firm of the Year,” by Benchmark Litigation, a trusted, independent research organization. This is the second consecutive year the firm has received this recognition.
Brooks Pierce partner Gary Parsons accepted the award at a ceremony in New York on the firm’s behalf.
“Brooks Pierce takes pride in the fact that we take on complex, often precedent-setting litigation,” said Reid Phillips, the firm’s managing partner. “It is an honor to have the work we do on behalf of our clients recognized in this way.”
Other North Carolina firms named to the short list were: Ellis & Winters, Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein, Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson and Smith Anderson.
Benchmark Litigation is the only publication that focuses exclusively on U.S. litigation. The publication’s editorials and rankings stem from a six-month research period during which researchers conduct extensive interviews with litigators and their clients to identify leading litigation attorneys and firms. During these interviews, researchers examine casework recently handled by law firms and ask individual litigators to offer their professional opinions on peers. Benchmark Litigation is published by Euromoney Institutional Investor.
