The works of art accumulated as a part of the renovation of Brooks Pierce’s Raleigh office was highlighted in the News & Observer in an article about curated office art collections.
Over the course of seven months, the Raleigh office curated a collection of North Carolina art that includes more than 50 works. These pieces include paintings, pottery and sculpture, and nearly all these pieces were created by North Carolina artists.
“I think it reinforces the message we were trying to convey with the space generally to any visitor,” said Brooks Pierce partner Charles Coble, who led the firm’s art selection committee. “But certainly as important was to have something that would enhance the work space for the people who spend lots of time here. It’s hard to put a value on walking around and seeing good art in your workplace and how that can enhance the work environment but I think it does.”
