Brooks Pierce Attorney Appointed to the North Carolina State Bar Client Security Fund Board

Brooks Pierce partner W. Erwin Fuller Jr. has been appointed by the North Carolina State Bar Council to serve a five-year term commencing January 2017 as a member of the State Bar Client Security Fund Board of Trustees.

The North Carolina State Bar Client Security Fund allows clients who have suffered a financial loss due to dishonest conduct by a licensed North Carolina lawyer to be reimbursed for some or all of their financial losses. Founded by the North Carolina Supreme Court in 1984, the fund is administered by the Client Security Fund Board, which meets four times a year to review reimbursement applications.

Fuller has more than 50 years of legal experience and focuses his practice on matters of real property, estate planning and estate administration. He is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) and was recently chosen as chair elect of the NCBA’s Senior Lawyers Division. He was also recognized by the North Carolina Supreme Court and designated as a North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society member for contributing more than 50 hours of pro bono service in 2016.
