Brooks Pierce Attorney Selected for the 2017 NCBA Leadership Academy

Brooks Pierce attorney Daniel D. Adams was one of 16 lawyers from around the state selected for the North Carolina Bar Association Leadership Academy’s Class of 2017.

Launched in 2011, the mission of the Leadership Academy is to help up-and-coming lawyers become more effective leaders in their communities by increasing self-awareness, developing and refining leadership skills, inspiring confidence and creativity, enhancing team performance and improving their ability to influence others.

Adams is experienced in white-collar criminal defense and government investigations. During his career, he has represented individuals and companies facing investigation or prosecution by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Environmental Protection Agency and other regulatory and oversight boards.

Adams received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, graduating magna cum laude, and received his law degree from Harvard Law School. He joined Brooks Pierce in 2016.

Adams joins a legacy of Brooks Pierce attorneys named to the Leadership Academy. D.J. O’Brien was selected for participation in the prestigious program in 2011, Bryan Starrett in 2015 and Will Quick in 2016.
