Brooks Pierce Attorney Writes Article on Inclement Weather Policies

Brooks Pierce attorney Jessi Thaller-Moran recently wrote an article for The TJB American Business Magazine about employers’ inclement weather policies.

The article, entitled “Inclement Weather Checklist for Employers,” provides a basic outline of how paid time off and similar leave, wage and hour laws impact a company’s employee policies related to working during bad weather such as ice storms or hurricanes.

“Having thorough and well-maintained employee policies can make your decision at times like this considerably easier. It’s a good idea this time of year to review office and employment policies that may factor in to any decision about closing your workplace for inclement weather,” the article states.
