Brooks Pierce has donated 63 of its used desktop computers to nonprofit organizations across the state.
Brooks Pierce distributed the computers to 16 charities in the Triad and Triangle. Thirty of the desktops have been donated to Handy Capable, an organization enriching the lives of individuals with special needs by teaching them technology skills. Ten computers were donated to the Women's Resource Center of Greensboro and 10 to Haven House, a Raleigh nonprofit that provides assistance to at-risk youth and their families. The remaining 13 computers were donated to other local charities in need of technology.
"These organizations all do so much for the communities they serve. Brooks Pierce is glad, in this small way, to help them in their missions," said Reid Phillips, managing partner of Brooks Pierce. "We felt that donating our computers was a great way to show our support and both help these organizations and the lives of the people they serve."
