Brooks Pierce partner Arty Bolick has been elected vice chairman of the board of directors of the Construction Professionals Network Institute.
Bolick will help lead the organization as it aims to empower North Carolina communities to improve their physical and economic environments. He previously served as the group’s secretary.
The Construction Professionals Network of North Carolina is a nonprofit initiative focusing on construction-related projects and community service throughout the state. In 2006, it founded the Construction Professionals Network Institute to help identify key issues related to industry performance, economic development and the betterment of its members and communities throughout North Carolina.
A partner in the firm’s Greensboro office, Bolick counsels and represents owners, contractors and designers in all aspects of commercial and institutional construction projects, from contracting and claims resolution during construction, to arbitration and litigation. Over the last decade, Bolick has negotiated hundreds of millions of dollars in construction and design contracts, including various commercial and industrial buildings, apartment complexes, large office buildings, public schools, research campuses and marinas.
