Brooks Pierce partner Jennifer Van Zant has been named to the Triad Business Journal's 2016 Outstanding Women in Business, an annual listing of the region's top female professionals.
The 2016 honorees were selected based on their leadership in business and philanthropy, reflecting a diversity of industries, experiences and expertise. This year's class was honored at an awards luncheon on April 4.
"Jennifer is a leader in our firm and a leader in our community. We are very proud that the Triad Business Journal has recognized her and her accomplishments," said Reid Phillips, Brooks Pierce's managing partner.

Van Zant focuses her practice on a wide range of complex business disputes, including numerous class action cases related to health care, insurance, antitrust and securities and LLC ownership disputes. As the chair of the Local Rules Committee for the North Carolina Business Court, Van Zant also works with dozens of attorneys to recommend revisions to the rules governing practice before the Business Court. She has received numerous professional accolades including being named to the Benchmark LItigation list of the top 250 Women in Litigation for 2015-2016 and being named as one of the top 50 women attorneys in the state in the 2016 edition of North Carolina Super Lawyers.
