Eric David, a partner at Brooks Pierce, was recently mentioned in an article by Harvard University’s NiemanLab on the work being done by the Southern Investigative Reporting Foundation (SIRF).
Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, SIRF is a nonprofit that publishes investigative journalism on companies with questionable or controversial business practices. SIRF’s Roddy Boyd is a former hedge-fund analyst and trader turned journalist who has also written for publications such as the New York Post and Fortune.
David, who focuses his practice on First Amendment law, media and communications law, reviews the often controversial stories for Boyd before they are published.
