Brooks Pierce is pleased to announce that Claire O'Brien has joined the firm as an associate based out of the firm’s Greensboro office. Her practice will focus on advising companies in the health care, medical device and pharmaceutical industries on regulatory compliance issues.

O’Brien counsels health care clients on a wide range of issues, including compliance with federal and state regulations and the day-to-day operations of facilities. She has advised companies in a variety of industries on regulatory compliance issues, including interactions with the Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, Federal Trade Commission and National Advertising Division. She has experience helping clients prepare public comments and petitions related to regulatory agency rulemakings and guidance documents. She also provides regulatory advice and conducts due diligence related to corporate transactions involving medical device and pharmaceutical companies.
Before joining Brooks Pierce, O’Brien practiced with a large international law firm in Washington, D.C. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Liam O’Grady in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and received her juris doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
