Leading North Carolina law firm Brooks Pierce is pleased to announce that Patrick R. Johnson joined the firm as an associate in the Greensboro office. His practice will focus on commercial real estate and development.
“Patrick is a bright, young attorney and we are excited to welcome him to Brooks Pierce,” said Reid Phillips, the firm’s managing partner. “I know he will be a tremendous addition to our commercial real estate team.”
Johnson represents owners, developers and lenders in the sale, acquisition, financing and development of commercial real estate projects, handling all aspects of the transactions including drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, financing instruments, restrictive covenants and other agreements. He also routinely advises clients on all aspects of transactional due diligence relating to title, survey, financing and land use matters.
Johnson joined Brooks Pierce from Blanco Tackabery & Matamoros in Winston-Salem, and was previously with Isaacson Isaacson Sheridan Fountain & Leftwich. He received his bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and his law degree from Elon University School of Law, graduating summa cum laude.
“I am honored to be joining Brooks Pierce,” Johnson said. “The firm has a very strong reputation in the legal community and I look forward to working closely with and learning from this trusted and respected group of attorneys.”
