Brooks Pierce attorney Collins Saint was recently accepted to the American Bar Association (ABA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Scholars Program. The one-year program begins Sept. 1.
The YLD Scholars Program is designed to encourage the participation of minority, solo/small firm, government, private sector and military service attorneys in the Young Lawyers Division. Attorneys selected for the Scholars Program demonstrate a history of bar involvement, public service and professional excellence.
Saint advises and litigates on behalf of public and private educational institutions and school boards on a wide range of education law issues, including special education and disability issues, civil rights laws and tort claims. He also represents businesses in a variety of industries to resolve disputes, litigating in state and federal court when necessary. Saint has a particular focus on diversity and civil rights issues, including issues related to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability and religion. He is actively involved in the ABA, serving as a North Carolina Delegate for the Young Lawyers Division Assembly and the North Carolina Young Lawyer Delegate for the ABA House of Delegates.
