Brooks Pierce attorney Collins Saint has been certified as a delegate for the American Bar Association’s (ABA) House of Delegates as the North Carolina young lawyer delegate. The control and administration of the ABA is vested in the House of Delegates, the policy-making body of the ABA. The House of Delegates meets twice each year, at ABA Annual and Midyear Meetings.
Additionally, Saint has been named as one of the North Carolina delegates to the ABA’s Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Assembly. The ABA YLD Assembly is the principal policy-making body of the ABA YLD. The ABA YLD Assembly meets twice each year, at ABA Annual and Midyear Meetings.
Saint advises and litigates on behalf of public and private educational institutions and school boards on an array of education law issues, including special education and disability issues, civil rights laws, and tort claims. He also represents businesses in a variety of industries to resolve disputes, litigating in state and federal court when necessary. He has a particular focus on diversity and civil rights issues, including issues related to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and religion. He has served as the co-chair of the North Carolina Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee since 2018.
