Brooks Pierce is pleased to announce that Drew Moretz has joined the firm as a government relations advisor, bringing more than two decades of experience in various advocacy and business roles to the firm. Moretz will provide public policy advice and legislative strategy to clients in a variety of industries. He joins an experienced government relations team that includes Ed Turlington, Marcus Trathen, Tim Nelson and Katy Kingsbury.

Before joining Brooks Pierce, Moretz served as vice president of state government relations for the 17-campus University of North Carolina System. He previously served in a similar role for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. He has also worked for the North Carolina Technology Association and as a legislative assistant for former Congressman Howard Coble. He began his career in the banking industry. Moretz earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994.
