Ed West Named to Wilson Center for Leadership’s Board of Advisors

Hampden-Sydney College’s Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest has named Brooks Pierce attorney Edwin West, III to its Board of Advisors. Founded in 1775, Hampden-Sydney College is the tenth oldest institution of higher learning in the United States. The Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest provides students with opportunities to explore, develop and grow their leadership skills. The Wilson Center also oversees leadership, public service and education for Hampden-Sydney’s faculty, staff and alumni, as well as a variety of community and national organizations.

As a board member, West will be responsible for helping guide and oversee the Wilson Center’s programs and initiatives.

“The Wilson Center equips promising students with the skills, experiences and connections they need to fulfill their potential as future leaders,” said West. “These students go on to do great things in their fields, and I am honored to have this opportunity.”

West received his bachelor’s degree from Hampden-Sydney College. His fellow board members represent a variety of professional fields, including finance, law, communications, education, and the military.
