Brooks Pierce attorney Justin Outling has been selected to participate in an educational seminar in Israel. The trip, sponsored by the American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF) and organized by The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), will take place April 22 - 30.
Outling, who serves on the Greensboro City Council, is one of a select group of African-American leaders and influencers from around the Southeast who were invited on the trip, which seeks to provide a better understanding of U.S. and Israeli relations. The seminar will address critical policy and security issues affecting both Israel and the United States. Participants will also meet with current and former government officials, Palestinian Authority representatives, leading academics and journalists. The trip will also include tours of religious sites in Jerusalem and the Sea of Galilee as well as the opportunity to see the Israeli borders with Lebanon, Syria and Gaza.
“I am honored to have been invited to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” Outling said. “I look forward to have the chance to tour Israel and learn more about this unique country, while also spending time networking and sharing ideas with other leaders from around the region.”
