The Triad Business Journal recently interviewed Brooks Pierce partner Kearns Davis prior to his installment as the 122nd president of the N.C. Bar Association. Davis hopes to promote technological advances within the legal system during his one-year term as NCBA president.
“Technology has changed so dramatically since I came out of law school in 1995. I got my first email address in 1994 while I was a law student. I arrived at this law firm and was not given a computer,” states Davis. “That’s how quickly it’s changed in 20 years. The impact of that on the way that law is practiced is tremendous.”
Davis will be sworn into office June 25 at the organization’s annual meeting in Charlotte.
