Leading North Carolina law firm Brooks Pierce is pleased to announce that David Green has joined the Raleigh office as of counsel. He will focus his practice on real estate and general corporate law.
“David has considerable experience in all areas of real estate law, from helping to structure and finance deals to addressing zoning issues,” said Brooks Pierce managing partner Reid Phillips. “We are excited that he has chosen to bring his knowledge to Brooks Pierce, and believe he will be a valuable asset to our firm.”
Green has represented companies in all aspects of commercial real estate, including the sale, purchasing and leasing of properties. He regularly represents lenders in structuring, documenting and reviewing credit facilities and representing lenders in foreclosure and workout proceedings. He also provides counsel on development and expansion projects, including working with local governments on zoning and land use issues.
Additionally, he has represented companies of all sizes in a wide variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and the formation of partnership agreements, limited liability companies and franchising.
Green joins Brooks Pierce from Battle, Winslow, Scott & Wiley, where he had been a partner. He received his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and his law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
“Brooks Pierce has an outstanding reputation as one of the top law firms in the state,” Green said. “I am excited to be joining the Raleigh office and helping the firm grow its real estate practice.”
