Reid Phillips, managing partner of Brooks Pierce and chairman of the board of directors for the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, wrote a column for the Greensboro News & Record highlighting some of the smaller, less well-known efforts helping to positively shape the city. Among the projects touted in his column, which ran on Christmas Eve, were programs to support conservation efforts, promote healthy families and create job opportunities.
Phillips wrote: “Each of these endeavors, and many more, demonstrate how small, individual gifts can be multiplied and used to accomplish great things. They also show what a wonderfully caring community we live in.”
