Stephen Hartzell gives Gotham Gazette insight into UAS/Drone Regulations

Brooks Pierce attorney Stephen Hartzell was quoted in the Gotham Gazette today. Stephen spoke with reporter Catie Edmondson for the article titled “No Fly Zone: Council Members Push Helicopter, Drone Regulations.” Stephen discussed issues surrounding the prohibition of drone operation by local or state rules or laws in light of the FAA's control of, and right to authorize the use of, airspace for drone use. From the article:

“Local governments right now are in a really tough position when it comes to drones. And in New York I think that's probably especially true, not just because of what happened at JFK last week. So every time there’s a negative drone incident, it puts additional pressure on local officials,” said attorney Stephen Hartzell, who specializes in UAS law.
