Brooks Pierce partner Ed Turlington has been elected Chair of the Wake Tech Community College Foundation Board of Directors. He has served on the Board since 2006 and was elected by Board members at their May 16 meeting.
The Foundation manages private investments to serve Wake Tech students, faculty and staff and connects private citizens, alumni and corporate donors to help make the College successful. It is in the final year of the Ripple Effect campaign, which has raised over $12,000,000 to support the College.
Wake Tech is North Carolina’s largest community college, serving more than 66,000 students annually with five campuses, two training centers, multiple community sites, and a comprehensive array of online learning options. It offers more than 180 associate’s degrees, diplomas, and certificates that prepare students for university transfer or immediate employment.
