Brooks Pierce partner Jennifer Van Zant was recognized by the Triad Business Journal as one of the area's 40 Leaders Under Forty at an award reception on February 26 and in a special publication on February 27.
The Triad Business Journal solicited nominations from across the region and chose young adults they believe will propel the Triad region forward in the decades to come. An excerpt from Jennifer's nomination said, "Jennifer Van Zant is a highly skilled professional...clearly devoted to making the Triad a better place to work and to live. She volunteers for a considerable number of duties that are underappreciated. Jennifer constantly donates her time and talents, all while remaining a top-notch litigator and dedicated mother of three."
In response to questions from the Journal, Jennifer said her most meaningful volunteer activity is working with families at Partnership Village and that the guest list for a dream dinner party would include Abraham Lincoln, her friend Erica, Barack Obama and Kelly Ripa.
Jennifer represents clients in complicated business disputes. She has successfully represented businesses in actions containing antitrust claims, class actions, securities law claims, employment law issues, copyright claims, covenants not to compete, and contract disputes as well as lawsuits concerning sophisticated financial transactions. She brings to her practice a wealth of experience litigating complex multi-party cases.
Jennifer is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in Antitrust Law and Commercial Litigation. She was also chosen by her peers as a member of North Carolina's "Legal Elite" in the Young Guns category, published by Business North Carolina magazine.
