Brooks Pierce attorney Collins Saint has been named chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD).
The YLD is open to all bar association members who are 36 years of age and under or who have been practicing law for 10 years or less. The division provides members with the opportunity to network with other legal professionals, serve in leadership roles and participate in community service projects throughout the year.
As YLD chair, Saint will also sit on the NCBA Board of Governors and the North Carolina Bar Foundation Board of Governors.
Saint advises and litigates on behalf of public and private educational institutions and school boards on an array of education law issues, including special education and disability issues, civil rights laws, and tort claims. He also represents businesses in a variety of industries to resolve disputes, litigating in state and federal court when necessary. He has a particular focus on diversity and civil rights issues, including issues related to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and religion.
