Brooks Pierce Attorney to Speak at 2024 Triangle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Conference

Brooks Pierce attorney Collins Saint will participate on July 23 in the panel discussion, “What the Affirmative Action Ruling May Mean for Your Business,” during the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Triangle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Conference at the Raleigh Convention Center. He will join three other panelists, Andrew Blackburn, Vice President of Government Affairs of Greater Raleigh Chamber, Gurjit Chima Jan, Founder and CEO of Conexao, LLC, and Courtney White, Head of Human Resources at BASF. Panelists will discuss the Supreme Court’s 2023 ruling that struck down affirmative action admissions policies, and the impacts of this decision on businesses, organizations and nonprofits.

Saint advises and litigates on behalf of public and private educational institutions and school boards on an array of education law issues, including special education and disability issues, civil rights laws, and tort claims. He also represents businesses in a variety of industries to resolve disputes, litigating in state and federal court when necessary. He has a particular focus on diversity and civil rights issues, including issues related to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and religion.
