01.17.2025

Brooks Pierce attorneys Sabrina Greer and Haniya Mir will present at the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Business Law Section Program, “Bringing the Business Out of the Basement: How To Help Clients Grow.” The program will focus on keeping clients up to date and aware of potential issues as they grow. The two-day program will be held on February 6-7, 2025 at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel and virtually. Brooks Pierce partner Melissa Bailey is one of the event’s planners.

Mir’s presentation on day two, “Going to Market: Practice Points From the ABA 2023 Private Target M&A Deal Points Study,” will focus on the ABA Private Target Deal Points Study and cover takeaways from the latest study, which summarizes the prevalence of certain provisions in publicly available private target mergers and acquisitions transactions during 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.

Greer will moderate a panel of North Carolina Business Court judges during “A View From the Bench: Key Trends and Developments in the North Carolina Business Court.” Panelists will discuss current business law issues, trends, key cases and developing issues to watch.

Mir is a transactional lawyer, representing businesses of all sizes on a variety of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate governance, entity formation, and equity and debt financing. Haniya works closely with clients to provide thorough, timely counsel through a host of complex corporate transactions.

Greer provides comprehensive legal services to business entities of all types and sizes. Prior to joining Brooks Pierce, Sabrina clerked at the North Carolina Business Court where she gained experience with complex business disputes, drawing on that experience to inform her approach to legal issues.

Bailey is a corporate transactional lawyer, representing clients in general business and transactional matters, entity formation, securities, and mergers and acquisitions.
