Brooks Pierce Attorneys Present Labor & Employment Webinar on New Department of Labor Salary Threshold Rule

Brooks Pierce attorneys Erin Barker and Beth Langley presented a labor and employment webinar at 12:30 p.m. EST on August 21 titled, “What Employers Need to Know About the New DOL Salary Threshold Rule.”

The webinar discussed the new United States Department of Labor (DOL) salary threshold rule effective on July 1, the additional salary threshold increase that will be effective on January 1, 2025, and the recent enforcement and litigation activity regarding employee classification surrounding this new rule. Barker and Langley also provided best practices for employers for auditing the exempt status of positions going forward.

Barker advises clients on various employment and ERISA & benefits-related matters.
