Brooks Pierce Attorneys Present Webinar on Independent Contractor Classification
Brooks Pierce attorneys Bryan Starrett and Elizabeth Troutman presented a labor and employment webinar on Feb. 28 titled, “Defining Relationship Status: Employee? Independent Contractor? Or Should We Put “It’s Complicated?”
Starrett and Troutman discussed the Department of Labor’s (DOL) final rule on independent contractor classification, and how this development refines and further clarifies the hurdles that companies must clear to avoid claims of worker misclassification when working with independent contractors.
