Brooks Pierce Expands Corporate and Real Estate Practices with Two New Partners
Established Greensboro attorneys Jonathan Jenkins and Jimmy Haynes have joined Brooks Pierce as partners. Jenkins and Haynes formed the boutique firm Jenkins Haynes PLLC, which served business and commercial real estate clients, in 2020.

Jenkins serves as outside general counsel to privately held businesses and their owners, providing counsel across a wide spectrum of business and corporate matters. He has a particular focus in business acquisitions and venture capital, representing issuers and investors.
He has received numerous accolades including being named to Best Lawyers in America® for Corporate Law (2016-2022), a North Carolina Super Lawyers® Rising Star (2015-2021) and to Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite” (2021-2022), including being named to the “Legal Elite Hall of Fame” for Corporate Law in 2022. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Florida and his juris doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School.
Haynes focuses his practice on commercial real estate matters, advising clients in the assemblage, acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing and development of various commercial real estate asset classes, including multi-family housing, retail, hospitality, office, industrial and planned communities.
He has been named a North Carolina Super Lawyers® Rising Star (2017-2018) and to Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite” (2016, 2021-2022). He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from North Carolina State University and his juris doctor from Elon University School of Law.
