Brooks Pierce Named Regional Powerhouse Law Firm

09.24.2024

Brooks Pierce is pleased to announce that the firm has been named a North Carolina Regional Powerhouse by Law360. The award highlights firms with significant matters in North Carolina and on behalf of North Carolina-based clients over the past year. Brooks Pierce is one of just three firms in North Carolina to be named a Regional Powerhouse.

“Brooks Pierce has built a legacy of leadership across North Carolina since our founding in 1897,” said Brooks Pierce Managing Partner Reid Phillips. “It is an honor to be recognized for the outstanding service we provide to our clients and community.”

Now with 115 attorneys spread over three offices in Greensboro, Raleigh and Wilmington, Brooks Pierce has represented some of the highest-profile clients in the Tar Heel State, including the University of North Carolina and Gov. Roy Cooper in his official capacity.

"In North Carolina, we know the companies," Brooks Pierce partner Kearns Davis said in the Law360 feature article regarding the award. "We know the industries, we know the economy, we know all levels of governments, we have people who have worked in them, we've represented people within them and agencies within them, and we know the courts, federal and state."

To be named a Regional Powerhouse, a firm must submit to be considered and explain their role in their home state. Law360 editors review the submissions, and firms are awarded the Regional Powerhouse title based on two factors: the firm’s presence in the state and the strength of the matters handled in the state during the relevant time period.
