Brooks Pierce Partner Elected to NCBA Board of Governors

Brooks Pierce partner David Sar was recently elected to a three-year term on the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Board of Governors. The election was made official on June 21 at the 2024 NCBA Annual Meeting in Charlotte. Sar’s previous leadership roles with the NCBA included serving as chairperson of the Intellectual Property Section and on the section council of the Sports Entertainment Law Section.

The NCBA is a voluntary membership organization of lawyers, judges, paralegals and law students dedicated to serving the public and the legal profession. Its mission is to serve the public and the legal profession by promoting the administration of justice and encouraging the highest standards of integrity, competence, civility and well-being of all members of the profession.

Sar represents clients in commercial disputes and matters pertaining to technology and intellectual property. He litigates and handles business transactions involving trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, and technology.
